little patina is owned by the husband and wife team of jess and josh. Our mission is to make a little difference, one piece of furniture at a time. little patina was born because of several autoimmune disorders that changed jess’ life. There still isn't a lot known about them, but research points to environmental toxins as a possible cause.
It was clear early on that jess would not be able to maintain a regular job, but painting allowed her to work and feel productive during those times she felt up to it. Painting and design eased the boredom, loneliness, and stress that comes with chronic pain, giving jess a semblance of a "normal" life again.
As jess’ work became more and more popular we knew there was an opportunity to turn our situation into something positive and little patina was born.
Each year tons of beautiful, vintage furniture is thrown away. At little patina we rescue, refinish, and repurpose furniture. We offer clients customized, individual consultation for their specific pieces.
It's easy to forget how many memories a single piece of furniture can hold. Until you have it back home: That's where the memories of gatherings and loved ones come flooding back. It's rewarding to play a small part in keeping those memories alive.
